Tessera (tesseralauncher.com, Tessera Launcher and Tessera Cloud) is run by Ramon Zielke. This page explains what we store and why. Questions: privacy@tesseralauncher.com.

What we store

  • Your account: email, username, a hashed password (Argon2) and, if you turn it on, your two-factor secret.
  • Sessions: a sign-in cookie on this website and a token in the launcher, so you stay signed in. They expire after 30 days.
  • Machines you connect: their name, Tessera version, when they were last online, and who you share them with.

Minecraft sign-in

Microsoft sign-in in Tessera Launcher is on its way. When it arrives, the launcher signs in to your Microsoft account only to launch Minecraft: those tokens stay on your computer and are only sent to Microsoft, Xbox and Mojang. We never see your Microsoft password.

What we don't do

  • No ads, no selling of data, no tracking across sites.
  • Your servers' worlds and settings stay on your machines. Requests from the launcher to your machine pass through our relay, but we don't store them.

Other services

Mod and modpack listings are loaded from Modrinth. This website is hosted on Vercel. When you download content, your computer connects to Modrinth's servers directly.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data or have your account deleted at any time by writing to the address above.
