A more vibrant world, a more beautiful Minecraft. Global illumination, colored light, volumetric clouds and stylized water, inspired by Vibrant Visuals.
A more vibrant world. A more beautiful Minecraft.
Beautify Shaders brings vibrant colors, real bounced light and living skies to Minecraft: Java Edition, without losing the blocky charm that makes the game what it is.
Inspired by the colorful look of , Beautify takes its own path with lighting, water, clouds, materials and dimensions, and ships with five presets so it runs well from older PCs to high end GPUs.
▸ Global Illumination: light bounces off surfaces and carries their color. A red wall tints the floor next to it, rooms fill with soft light and caves fall naturally into darkness.
▸ Colored block light: every light source glows in its own color. Soul torches in blue, redstone in red, amethyst in purple. Stained glass tints both sunlight and torchlight that passes through it.
▸ A reimagined End: a nebula sky, a block shaped planet with a spinning cloudy ring, glowing crystals and a starry portal.
▸ Volumetric clouds: soft realistic clouds or blocky clouds with rounded edges, and now and then a cloud shaped like a pig, a heart or a sword.
▸ Camera filters: Old TV, VHS, Vintage Film, Game Boy and more, plus depth of field, lens flare and motion blur.
▸ Native PBR and glow everywhere: blocks, held items, tools and particles react to their material, and glowing blocks really glow.
▸ Works with your mods: Distant Horizons, Voxy, Create, Vivecraft, Punchy and blocks from other mods all get the shader's look.
▸ Global Illumination with temporal accumulation and denoising
▸ Colored block light with real distance falloff and soft torch shadows
▸ Shadows in two styles: Pixel (locked to the texture grid, like Vibrant Visuals) or Realistic (soft penumbra that still catches vines, leaves and ladders)
▸ Saturated colored light through stained glass, also inside light shafts
▸ Controlled sunlight on surfaces facing the sun, contact shadows and ambient occlusion
▸ Eye adaptation: leaving a cave briefly dazzles you, entering the dark slowly adjusts
▸ Volumetric clouds in two styles, Realistic or Blocky, with cloud shadows moving across the ground
▸ Rare shaped clouds that look like a pig, a creeper, a heart, a fish and more
▸ Biome fog: subtle haze for swamps, deserts, badlands, jungles, snow, oceans, cherry groves and dark forests
▸ Golden sunsets, light shafts, a larger sun and a round moon with real lunar phases
▸ Moonlight that follows the moon phase: full moons light up the night
▸ Nether: animated portal, lava glow and floating embers fixed in the world
▸ End: purple and blue nebula sky, twinkling stars and light bands on the horizon
▸ A block shaped planet with a spinning cloudy ring and tiny glowing meteorites
▸ Soft purple End light with real shadows and denser fog near the void
▸ Glowing End crystals with a flow of energy, a glowing dragon healing beam and dragon breath
▸ Layered starry End portal and gateway, and a glowing dragon egg
▸ Realistic: refraction, depth absorption, foam and sun glints
▸ Pixel: waves and highlights snapped to the pixel grid
▸ Cartoon: banded colors, brush stroke wave crests and shoreline foam rings
▸ Screen space reflections on water, glass, ice, polished blocks and wet ground
▸ Caustics, underwater fog and light reflected from water onto walls
▸ Built in native PBR on every block family, block entities, leaves, held items, tools and particles
▸ Items react to their material: iron, gold, diamond, netherite, copper, gems and wood
▸ Glowing ores, pulsing crying obsidian, amethyst and sculk, and light items that glow in your hand
▸ Glowing particles: flames, portal, enchanting, fireworks and dragon breath
▸ labPBR resource pack support
▸ Wind animated grass, plants and leaves, with sunlight shining through leaves
▸ 8 screen filters: Old TV, VHS, Black & White, Sepia, Vintage Film, Game Boy, Dreamy and Pixel Art
▸ Depth of Field, Motion Blur, Lens Flare, Chromatic Aberration and Film Grain
▸ Visual Style: Pixel or Realistic changes clouds, shadows, water and colors all at once
▸ Ten color styles: Cartoon, Vibrant Visuals, Natural, Cinema, Pastel, Golden Hour, Nordic, Fantasy, Retro and Moody
▸ Four tone curves, plus saturation, vibrance, contrast, temperature and split toning
▸ Anti aliasing: Hybrid by default, or TAA, SMAA, SMAA + TAA and FXAA, with adaptive sharpening and bloom
▸ Customizable RGB selection outline: rainbow, pink & purple, solid color or pulse
Five presets, all of them with Global Illumination:
Potato · Low · Medium · High · Ultra
Each preset scales ray range, lights tested per pixel, shadow resolution, clouds, reflections and light shafts. Potato turns off the heaviest effects for weaker PCs, and High and Ultra add Lens Flare. Changing the preset only changes quality and keeps your Visual Style.
Demanding effects run at half resolution with temporal accumulation, and the pack is optimized for both NVIDIA and AMD GPUs. Every effect can be adjusted on its own through a clean settings menu, available in 15 languages.
Start on High. If you need more FPS, drop to Medium, Low or Potato.
▸ Distant Horizons and Voxy: far away terrain gets the shader's lighting, water and fog, with a smooth blend into normal chunks and a soft mist over distant valleys
▸ Create: machines and moving contraptions get lighting, shadows and glow
▸ Blocks from other mods: leaves, flowers, crops, ores, logs, stone, glass and more look and behave like their vanilla versions
▸ Light blocks from any mod glow and give off colored light
▸ Vivecraft (VR) and Punchy supported
| Shader loader | Iris (required for the full experience) |

Global Illumination and colored light rely on Iris features (custom images and compute shaders). On loaders without them, Beautify automatically falls back to standard lighting. OptiFine is not officially supported.
Beautify enhances Minecraft's identity instead of replacing it.
