A Feast for the Senses: Enhanced Visuals and Sound
DayOfMind isn't just about what you explore, but how you experience it. Prepare for a Minecraft that looks and sounds more immersive and beautiful than ever before.
Visual Foundation
At its core, DayOfMind utilizes Sodium, a powerful rendering engine replacement that significantly boosts frame rates and reduces stuttering. On top of this solid foundation, Iris Shaders allows you to add your favorite shader packs (like Complementary Reimagined or Bliss Shaders), transforming the game's lighting and atmosphere into something truly breathtaking.

Extend your view distance dramatically with Distant Horizons:
OptiFine Features, Fabric Performance
Enjoy the visual customization many players love from OptiFine, but integrated seamlessly into the Fabric ecosystem for better performance and compatibility. Continuity brings beautiful connected textures for glass, bookshelves, sandstone, and more, along with support for emissive (glowing) textures.
Entity Model Features (EMF) and Entity Texture Features (ETF) provide the magic behind custom entity models and textures, enabling resource packs like the included Fresh Animations to bring mobs to life with stunning new movements. Entity Sound Features (ESF) builds on this, allowing sounds to vary based on entity textures or models. Resource packs can also customize GUI screens thanks to OptiGUI, and Polytone unlocks deep customization of biome colors, map colors, lightmaps, custom sounds, particles, and much more, all through resource packs.
Dynamic Effects and Personal Flair
The world feels more alive with added visual details. Visuality adds subtle ambient particles like crystal sparkles and more noticeable effects when mobs are hit.
Particular introduces beautiful 3D water splashes, leaves gently falling from trees, atmospheric cave dust, and charming fireflies. Show off your style with Capes and Wavey Capes, adding flowing capes compatible with various services. See yourself in action with Not Enough Animations, which adds improved third-person animations for actions like eating, rowing boats, holding maps, and climbing.
And light up the darkness with Sodium Dynamic Lights, allowing torches and other light sources you hold to illuminate the world around you dynamically.
Curated Resource Packs
DayOfMind comes bundled with a selection of fantastic resource packs, enabled by default, to give you a stunning visual experience right away (though you can disable or change them as you wish!):
Alacrity: A detailed, 32x pack with an RPG/Medieval feel and custom models
Bare Bones: A vibrant, simplistic pack mimicking the style of official Minecraft trailers.
Better Leaves: Makes tree leaves look wonderfully bushy and more realistic.
Fresh Animations: Overhauls mob animations, making them incredibly lifelike (Requires EMF & ETF).
Round Trees: Smooths the connection between log blocks for a rounder appearance.
Unique Dark: Provides a sleek, dark theme for UI elements with unique textures for functional blocks (requires OptiGUI).
Immersive Interfaces: Replaces standard container GUIs with beautiful pixel art scenes (requires OptiGUI).
An Immersive Soundscape
Prepare your ears! DayOfMind features a comprehensive audio overhaul. Presence Footsteps adds unique, material-dependent sounds for every step you take. Sound Physics Remastered introduces realistic sound propagation, including reverb based on your surroundings and sound dampening through walls. Sounds adds a huge collection of new UI sounds, block interaction sounds, and item sounds, making the world feel much more reactive. Supporting these is RSLS (Raise Sound Limit Simplified), which increases the number of sounds Minecraft can play simultaneously, ensuring you hear all the rich details.

Smoother Adventures: Quality of Life Galore
A bigger, more beautiful world is fantastic, but DayOfMind also focuses on making your interactions within it smoother, more intuitive, and less tedious. We've packed in a huge range of Quality of Life (QoL) mods designed to let you focus on the fun.
Information at Your Fingertips
Stay informed with enhanced UI elements. Jade provides a tooltip identifying the block or entity you're looking at, showing container contents, mob health, and more. Understand your hunger better with AppleSkin, which visualizes saturation and potential food restoration. Navigate advancements easily with Better Advancements and its full-screen UI, and celebrate achievements with Advancement Plaques which replaces boring toasts with fancy plaques. And understand enchantments and effects instantly with idwtialsimmoedm, adding helpful descriptions to tooltips.
Effortless Inventory Management
Spend less time managing items and more time playing. Carry On lets you pick up and move chests (with contents!), furnaces, spawners, and even small mobs with your bare hands. Keep things tidy with Inventory Sorter, offering multiple ways to sort your inventory and chests (works server-side too!). Reduce lag from XP farms with Clumps, which groups XP orbs into single entities. Enjoy multiplayer looting without conflict thanks to Lootr, giving each player their own unique loot instance from chests. Speed up inventory interactions with Mouse Tweaks, enhancing dragging mechanics. Never run out of blocks mid-build with Stack Refill, automatically pulling replacements from your inventory. And access shulker box contents without placing them using Easy Shulker Boxes.
Seamless World Interaction
Interacting with the world feels more fluid. Never lose your gear again with Universal Graves, which creates a customizable grave on death to store your items and XP. Set up convenient travel networks using Waystones (also shown in "Tools for the Trail" section). Save time when leaving your world with FastQuit, returning you to the main menu instantly while the world saves in the background. Build faster and more precisely with Accurate Block Placement. Open double doors, trapdoors, and fence gates simultaneously with Double Doors. Protect your farmland from being trampled when harvesting melons or pumpkins with Keep My Soil Tilled. Make daring leaps into Softer Hay Bales to negate all fall damage. Easily get mobs out of boats and minecarts using Dismount Entity. Ensure your loyal companions always teleport with you thanks to Followers Teleport Too. Start your journey right with Village Spawn Point, guaranteeing a spawn in a village, and give those villages character with Village Names. And finally, hop over obstacles with ease using Jump Over Fences.
Simplified Controls & Configuration
Setting up your controls and configuring mods is a breeze. Find and resolve keybind conflicts effortlessly with Controlling. Access configuration screens for nearly all mods through the convenient Mod Menu (supported by ModMenu Badges Lib). Plug in your favorite controller and play your way with Midnight Controls. Many mods in this pack utilize user-friendly config libraries like Cloth Config and YACL, often accessible via Mod Menu.
Optimized for Fun: Performance Under the Hood
We know that feature-rich modpacks can sometimes struggle with performance. That's why DayOfMind was built from the ground up with optimization as a core pillar. We want you to enjoy all the new content without slideshow frame rates!
Working tirelessly behind the scenes is a suite of powerful performance mods:
Sodium: Replaces Minecraft's rendering engine for massive FPS gains.
Lithium: Optimizes numerous game logic systems like mob AI, physics, and block ticking.
FerriteCore: Drastically reduces memory usage by optimizing how game data is stored.
C2ME (Concurrent Chunk Management Engine): Improves chunk generation, loading, and I/O performance by utilizing multiple CPU cores.
ModernFix: An all-in-one solution improving launch times, reducing memory usage further, and fixing various bugs.
But that's not all! DayOfMind includes numerous other optimization mods targeting specific areas, such as ImmediatelyFast (immediate mode rendering), Krypton (networking stack), Alternate Current (Redstone performance), Entity Culling & More Culling (skipping rendering of unseen objects), Noisium (world generation), Let Me Despawn (mob despawning logic), and FastQuit for that faster return to the title screen. This comprehensive approach ensures the smoothest possible experience as you explore the vast world.
Gameplay Twists and Unique Additions
Beyond enhancing vanilla, DayOfMind introduces some unique mechanics and expands core systems for a richer gameplay loop.
New Ways to Play
Equip powerful new gear with Accessories, a framework allowing mods to add rings, amulets, belts, and more (includes compatibility layers for Curios/Trinkets items). Experience flight like never before with Do a Barrel Roll, completely overhauling elytra movement for fun, semi-realistic control. Travel faster on your carefully built paths using Block Runner, and never get stuck attacking through annoying tall grass again thanks to Cut Through.
Enhanced Utility Blocks
Core utility stations get much-needed upgrades. Easy Magic makes enchanting less frustrating by keeping items in the table, allowing rerolls, and offering more flexible bookshelf placement. Easy Anvils removes annoying repair cost scaling, lets you repair anvils, and provides a dedicated interface for renaming name tags freely. See your recipes come together on the Visual Workbench, which displays items placed in the crafting grid directly on the block. And manage your crafting grid more efficiently with Crafting Tweaks, adding buttons to rotate, balance, or clear the grid.
Expanded Storage Solutions
Organize your treasures with powerful new storage options that fit the vanilla aesthetic. Extended Drawers offers compact, high-capacity storage for large quantities of single items, complete with upgrades, locking, voiding, and compacting features. Tom's Simple Storage provides a networkable system with terminals to access all connected inventories and even craft directly from stored items.
