Gearbound is a Minecraft survival modpack focused entirely on mechanical technology and kinetic engineering. Instead of relying on digital automation or magical networks, progression centers on physical motion, steam power, and infrastructure development.
Core mechanics:
-
Mechanical Automation: Resource processing and factory lines are driven by physical gear systems, belts, and kinetic power.
-
Logistics and Trains: Players design and operate fully functional steam trains to transport cargo and connect distant outposts.
-
Exploration and Survival: The world generation and survival loop are tailored to give large-scale industrial infrastructure a practical purpose.
-
Performance: The pack is optimized for stability, high frame rates, and consistent performance during heavy automation.
