Welcome to TracedLite, a performance-focused shader pack built from scratch to utilize modern GPU rendering pipelines. This shader overhauls the default Minecraft environment — particularly focusing on the End dimension — by utilizing procedural generation and mathematical vector formulas rather than static texture files for skybox elements.
🌌 Features & Visual Overhauls
- The End Dimension Skybox: Replaced with a procedurally generated cosmic environment, including a simulated spiral galaxy structure and an accretion disk model with timed visual cycles.
- Constellations & Sequences: Includes multiple pulsing light constellations and an automated visual loop simulating stellar evolution (nebula expansion and contraction sequences).
- Overworld & Nether: Features PBR (Physically Based Rendering) support for block reflections, ambient occlusion for indoor shadowing, and emissive lighting adjustments for lava blocks in the Nether.
🛠️ Technical Specifications
- Raymarching & Path Tracing: Employs raymarching algorithms for rendering volumetric celestial bodies and physical light bounce simulations.
- Light Scattering (v31): Improved falloff curves for smoother light transitions into dark environments and soft planetary terminators.
- Blue Noise Dithering: Integrated dithering methods to reduce visual noise in path-traced shadows while maintaining rendering stability.
- Horizon Fog Fix (v31): Adjusted volumetric fog blending to ensure seamless integration with the horizon lines.
📊 Performance & Compatibility
TracedLite is optimized for the modern Iris and Oculus rendering engines. Because the celestial effects are driven by vector mathematics rather than high-resolution image files, the visual sharpness scales with your monitor's native resolution (including 4K environments) without excessive memory overhead.
- Performance Note: Frame rates may vary depending on your overall system configuration (CPU, RAM, and GPU architecture). The shader is designed to run efficiently on modern mid-range hardware.
- Compatibility: Fully compatible with Sodium/Embeddium and Iris. Not recommended for OptiFine due to custom rendering pipeline requirements.
